The Valley Careers Advice Day on Wednesday 11 July is designed to inspire the local community to launch their careers in Rossendale rather than travel further afield to find work.
The free event runs from 11am-6pm at The Kingfisher Centre and Old Fire Station in Burnley Road in Rawtenstall, and will showcase a whole host of exciting job and career opportunities in the Valley.
Local support agencies and educational centres will be on hand to help people to access any training, funding or additional support that may be needed for them to secure their dream job.
Rossendale has a vibrant and varied business community, and this event aims to inspire people either going to college and at the start of their career, or those people who want to try a complete career change. Organisations such as B and E Boys, J
Council, Beta Industrial, Golf Rossendale, Accrington and Rossendale College, Burnley College, Alder Grange, BRGS, Help Direct, Rossendale Borough Council, NLTG, Young Persons Service, Job Centres plus are just a few of the 40 organisations who will be on hand to offer advice and share experiences of how they achieved their career success right here in Rossendale.

“We have been based in the Rossendale valley for years and although many people know we are here, many do not know what we do or what opportunities we present for local people. Events like this are a great opportunity to find out more.”
Peter Boys Director at Kingfisher Business Centres said: “Kingfisher Rawtenstall will host over 40 businesses. This is a chance for people of all ages to see that there are lots of career opportunities right here in Rossendale, with the organisations on hand to show them how to work towards them.”
